What are the best rides at La Ronde and what kind of shoes should I wear?

so our whole school is going to La Ronde next week and I would like to know which kind of shoes should I wear? Last time I wore flip-flops but I was always scared to loose them in a ride so I thought that I could wear sneakers but when we are doing the Splash they`ll be all wet. and the second question is what are the scariest rides in La Ronde at Montreal. Last time I did the Goliath, Vampire, Cobra, Monster, and lots of other little things. And is the boomrang a good ride? thx
