How can you make the water at the pond move like in the rapids?

I heard that both payaras and goliath african tiger fish live in rapids and they need fast flowing water to become healthy. But the pond were gonna make is a koi pond( a big one ) but the water is stagnant. Is there any device that can make the water flow(not too fast).
